Vanishing in Moonlit Night: Elsa's Tale

Vanishing in Moonlit Night: Elsa’s Tale

The rainstorm was so intense that everything was flooded, strong winds caused destructions everywhere. In the midst of this rainfall, a girl from village reached the shores of the river. Some people passed by the river where Elsa was laying drenched, hiding her face with wet hair, wearing animal skin clothes. She had a swollen stomach and was in pain, struggling to breathe. The people who passed by were Half-humans. When they saw Elsa, they recognizing her as one of their own except from her dressing style. They spoke something in their own primitive language, but Elsa was in too much pain to pay attention to who was around her. The Half-humans picked her up and took her to their cave. They treated her as one of their own, but their treatment only caused her more pain. Her condition was delicate, she cried out in agony.

Within moments, she found herself covered in blood with a womb containing a baby. Instead of helping her, they saw baby as food. The scent of blood enticing them, upon seeing the baby, they started arguing among themselves, claiming it as their own.

Elsa witnessing this chaos, shouted: “Enough! This is not food, it’s my baby, living creature like us!”

Half-humans appeared more like men with large bodies, unkempt hair, scattered body hair, small hands and feet and wearing handmade clothes from tree leaves, truly wild.

One of them said, “this is food, just like how birds lay eggs and we eat. If you’ve given birth to it, then it’s meant for eating! Isn’t it?

No, no! This is like us. It will grow up to be like us. Do you people eat each other? said Elsa

“when there is no food available for months, then we eat the weak of us.”

My god! That’s too terrible. Could you guys give me some privacy so that I can clean myself and my baby. You all seem to be reluctant to help! Said Elsa

“Privacy?” They asked in a curious manner

Elsa replied, “when someone wants to do their own private work alone, we call it privacy”

Everyone gave them privacy and went out in search of food. When the sun sets, these people returned to the cave. It had been weeks since they had found any food. They had all made a pact that if the hunger persisted, they would eat the baby one day. When they returned, they saw that Elsa was holding the baby close to her chest, completely covered. Seeing this, Half-humans started asking, “where is the baby?”

“He is hungry and I’m feeding him” Elsa replied

The Half-humans again asked, “Do you have food?”

“Yes, but this food is meant for babies” said Elsa

Why can’t we eat it? Asked one of them.

Elsa said, “It is meant to drink not to eat and it’s called milk. It gives energy and fills the stomach.” You are not allowed to drink this, understand!

All of them insisted and pleaded to let them drink just once. They hadn’t eaten anything for weeks and their energy was running out. Upon hearing this, Elsa felt mercy and that night she fed all four of them. They became accustomed to it. Elsa used milk as an excuse to bring them in line, they built a tree-house for her and she taught them jungle survival skills like starting fire, catching fish in the water and ways to stay alive. The Half-humans knew from beginning that they were only allowed to eat eggs, but Elsa taught them how to live life. Their condition improved significantly while living with them. It had been one year since Elsa starting living with them.

One day, there was an attack on the place where they were staying. The Half- humans became angry and attacked them. Elsa stood with them to protect their territory, as she recognized them as her own tribe from the village she came from through the river. She was actually the wife of the tribe’s leader and had accidentally ended up in their village due to heavy rain that night. When she saw the leader, she went up to him and hugged him.

The leader asked Elsa, “How did you come here? We thought you were no longer alive…”

Elsa smiled and replied, “I met them by the riverside. They took good care of me. Yes, they are cave people, but they have good hearts and they took care of our baby too”

The leader filled with joy lifted his son upto the sky and spun him around.

He thanked the cave people by giving them supplies for food and drink in return, then went back to his tribe with his wife and son.

Legendary Tale of Crimson Gemstone Snake

The legendary tale of Crimson Gemstone Snake

Far away from the city, there was a valley situated near a wild area with a sea. The valley was nothing less than paradise with waterfalls amidst lush green trees, creating a scenery as if a velvet carpet had been spread. Along the waterfall, there were small wooden houses where the people of the village lived. They led a simple life relying on the fruits and dry fruits from the surrounding area. At night, everyone would gather around a bonfire, cooking the fishes and seafood they caught during the day then they would perform their traditional dance before having  their meal and going to sleep. Among them, there was a fisherman who had a son when the son was 5 years old, his mother passed away. She used to sing him a lullaby in his childhood and its melody was so enchanted  that the listener would lose own-self in its magic. This song also resonated with the son who later got admitted to Stanford. However, his father strictly prohibited him from singing that song and whenever he tried… his father would scold him severely. One night, while everyone was lost in their merry-making, Stanford couldn’t control himself and started singing the magical song. As soon as they heard his voice everyone fell silent captivated by the enchanting melody. Upon hearing this, Stanford’s father became furious and locked him up in their farmhouse with the ducks.

Late at night, his dad brought him back to his room. There was sadness in his dad’s eyes, to make him feel better he told him a story about a legendary snake in their village called “ The Crimson Gemstone Snakes”.” The females of those snakes have the power to grow to an enormous size even bigger than an anaconda when they turn 118. When they meet their partners tattoos appear on their bodies. The female’s half tattoo designs appear on her body while the remaining design appears on the male’s body but in smaller size. These beautiful and enchanting designs are in black which represents the power of thunder, blue which represents the power of water and orange which represents the power of fire on their red bodies. Humans internal skeleton shatters with their single roar making the person deaf. If they look into someone’s eyes, the person goes blind. Despite having such terrifying powers, they are not dangerous for humans anymore because their species is now extinct”.

“Let’s go to your bed! Hurry up!”

“Good night dad” Stanford said with a smiley face

“Good night, my tiger” while kissing his forehead

Many years passed when he turned 18, he started to develop a habit of mutant and staying by the seaside. One day, he noticed some shining waves in the depth of the sea. To get a closer look at those waves he went down to the lower surface of the sea. He had no fear of nothing and bravely went down to swim. As soon as he saw the waves up close his heart and eyes were captivated by them. Stanford touched those waves and his eyes started to sparkle. Due to the intensity of current, he was swept away to the upper surface of the sea. When he reached there he fainted. The villager informed the fisherman that his son had been found at the sea surface and was unconscious. His father was very scared and took him home. Other villagers also gathered, discussing what had happened…Hours passed, but he completely cold with his breath sometimes light and sometimes strong. His lips became pale due to the cold and his color started to change…Redness appeared beneath his eyes and the veins of his entire body became clearly visible. Upon this, his father became very worried. Despite his son being alive, he couldn’t regain consciousness. He requested the village leader to call the experienced herbalist, but no herbalist was familiar with his condition, no-one understand what had happened.

One night, Stanford’s father was crying and lamenting, wondering how he would answer his wife” I couldn’t keep the promise I made to her…My God! Show me a way…I can’t bear to see my son in this state”.

He was deeply engrossed in his lament when he heard a knock on the wooden door of his house. When he opened the door, he saw a weak-old lady covered in a cap and shawl…she was carrying an old, tattered bag on one arm and tremblingly said,” sir! Can I find shelter for tonight? The weather outside is very bad and I have a long journey ahead…As soon as the rain stops, I will leave…”

The fisherman felt pity for her fragile condition and allowed her to stay. When she entered the house she saw a boy lying on a bed made of leaves from the tree.

“Is he your son?” she asked.

The fisherman replied, “Yes, he is my son, but he is not well. He is alive…but he remains unconscious all the time. No herbalist has been able to determine his illness. I don’t understand what has happened to him…” The old lady requested his permission to try and help.

Upon hearing this, “Yes, if you can do something, it would bring me great joy.” said Fisherman

The old lady checked Stanford’s pulse and then took out some dried herbs from her torn bag and started grinding them. When the herbs turned into a paste, she put it in Stanford’s mouth and whispered something in his ear. The Fisherman was amazed at what she whispered in my son’s ear. Suddenly, the rain stopped… old lady asked for permission to leave and thanked the fisherman for providing shelter then she came and left so suddenly. She seemed familiar to him. Anyway, the night passed as when the morning came, Stanford woke up fine and woke up his father. Seeing his son completely fine… the fisherman’s heart filled with joy and there was a wave of happiness on his face

“This is truly a miracle!” said fisherman.

The fisherman introduced his son to the villagers and went around telling everyone that my son is fine now! An old lady healed him, she has magic in her hands! The news of that woman spread throughout the village…

That night, the weather became extremely bad seeing the huge sea waves, the villagers got scared that our homes might get destroyed…darkness covered the seaside with dark clouds and lightning flashing intensely, sea waves kept getting higher and scarier with each lightning strike…witnessing such a terrifying scene, a sense of dread filled the hearts of the villagers, fiery waves started appearing from the lower surface of the sea making weather dreadful throughout the night.

When morning came, it was hard to tell if it was morning already as a deep shadow of dark clouds and wild fog covered the valley…the villagers had never seen such weather and scene before. Everyone was frightened wondering what was happening … as they watched, the sea waves became very strong forming a tornado-like structure in the sea. From within it, a creature appeared causing the entire sea water to splash around. The creature was rising from the water accompanied by thunderstorms. It had taken control of the entire sea with fiery waves from below and a thunderstorm surrounding it as if it had the power to control all these elements…

Everyone screamed and shouted “This is an ancient Crimson Gemstone Snake! Run, save your lives, hide yourselves! Its powers are very powerful and terrifying!”

The village was in chaos with people running here and there. The snake in anger threw water from her tail that splashes towards the village causing a heavy flood and terror in villager’s hearts. Stanford, who had heard about this snake in childhood stories, wasn’t as scared as he thought…Instead his eyes started to sparkle and he began walking towards the seaside as if the sea as calling him.

His dad tried to stop him saying “You couldn’t go near it as it had a dangerous aura and I didn’t want to lose you after your mother!” but Stanford didn’t listen and climbed u a small hill. Standing on top of the hill, he started singing the song… as the snake heard his melody, her anger started to fade and the waves calmed down… the whole area seemed enchanted. The villagers started whispering among themselves,

“How is he able to control it? Doesn’t he value his life?”

The snake didn’t do anything with him,, it let him come closer to the sea. He was playing his own melody and getting closer. His eyes were sparkling and his body started to feel cool…as he approached the shape-shifting snake, light scales started to appear on his body. The villagers were amazed saying, “Stanford doesn’t look like himself anymore!”

As he got closer to the snake, his body began transforming into that of the snake… on seeing this, villagers were filled with goose-bumps wondering if this boy was a shape-shifting snake who had been among them all along with their knowledge… the villagers started questioning Stanford’s dad. In that moment, the Gemstone snake said to boy,

“Come with me! My son. Your home is not on the land, but in the depths of the sea.

As she picked up him in her hand, he transformed completely into a red colored snaked.

“Actually, Stanford belonged to the Royal linage of the Crimson Gemstone Snake, the specialty of their specie was that only females were born among the Royals. Stanford was the first male there , so was kept hidden at birth. His mother feared that if this fact was known in the kingdom, he would be killed because he was male but was born with a full human body having no tail which was unacceptable to her kingdom. So, a Dai was entrusted to bring him into the human world, he ended up in a village, home of a fisherman. Since the couple couldn’t become parents, they were quite worried. One night, the Dai came and gave the baby to them and left. Couple waited anxiously hoping that he would be taken soon. They waited for a long time, but she never came. The couple decided to adopt the baby as their own and raised him like their own son. When he turned 5, his mother passed away. She had made a promise that Stanford should never find out that he wasn’t their biological child. So, his dad never told him anything . When Stanford went to the sea for the first time, his snake mother had a feeling that her son was alive and sensed his powers when he touched the sparkling waves. That’s why an old lady came back to their house to find out. When old lady went and told his real mother about his son, she went to the upper deck to bring her son back.”

In his father’s heart, a fear started to grow. He understands that today this secret would be revealed, but he still couldn’t believe that his son was a snake and he raised snake. Stanford never looked back even once as if he was a stranger to them. He didn’t even turn to look at his stepfather and walked with his mother to the lower deck of the sea. Snake mom had no concerns about the villagers, she just want her son back as soon as she found her son, she took him away . On the other hand, his father was in state of sorrow and despair, he had lost everything he had… and left empty handed…
